The Timekeeper - Extinct Disney World

“The Timekeeper” was a 3D film attraction that was once featured at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort, Florida. The attraction, officially known as “The Timekeeper’s 360° Circlevision,” took guests on an extraordinary journey through time and space, guided by a whimsical time-traveling robot named Nine-Eye.

Created by Walt Disney Imagineering and directed by renowned French filmmaker Jean-Jacques Annaud, “The Timekeeper” combined cutting-edge technology with captivating storytelling to create an immersive and entertaining experience for guests.

The attraction’s main character, Timekeeper (voiced by actor Robin Williams), had the ability to travel through time and explore significant moments in history. With the help of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells, Timekeeper led the audience on a thrilling adventure, visiting ancient civilizations, witnessing iconic events, and even venturing into the future.

The unique Circlevision technology employed in “The Timekeeper” allowed guests to be surrounded by a seamless 360-degree panoramic screen, giving them a sense of being right in the midst of the action. Combined with the stunning visuals, realistic audio effects, and Robin Williams’ humorous performance, the attraction delivered an unforgettable and immersive experience for visitors of all ages.

“The Timekeeper” stands as a prime example of Disney’s commitment to innovation and storytelling, combining technology and imagination to create lasting memories for guests. Although the attraction is no longer running, its spirit of adventure and wonder continues to inspire guests as they explore the other magical experiences throughout Walt Disney World Resort.
