Disney Announces Mary Poppins Sequel

Walt Disney Studios announced today that they will be releasing a sequel to the beloved classic “Mary Poppins” in December 2018. “Mary Poppins Returns” will star Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins, the role originally made famous by Julie Andrews. Also starring in the reboot will be Lin-Manuel Miranda, from the blockbuster musical Hamilton. The musical will be directed by Rob Marshall and produced by Marc Platt and John DeLuca. Music will be handled by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

“Mary Poppins Returns” is scheduled to hit theaters December 25, 2018. I will be posting more information about the movie, including trailers, as they become available, so be sure to subscribe to my updates.
