Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Blu-Ray Coming Soon!

Disney has announced that their hit intergalactic sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, will be released on DVD Digital HD, Disney Movies Anywhere, On Demand and Blu-Ray on August 22nd.

One interesting item of note is that this release will be Disney’s first to be released in 4k Ultra HD) and HDR.

There was no date given yet for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’s streaming release on Netflix.

Here is a quick rundown of the series plot (from Disney Movies Anywhere):

Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand.
