Who is Alana?

Alana is a minor character in Disney’s animated film “The Little Mermaid,” released in 1989. She is one of Ariel’s six older sisters and is briefly seen during the film’s opening sequence and later in some scenes set in Atlantica, the underwater kingdom ruled by King Triton.

In “The Little Mermaid,” Alana, like her sisters, is a mermaid with her own distinct appearance and personality. However, her individual characteristics are not explored in depth in the film, as the story primarily focuses on Ariel’s journey of curiosity and adventure as she falls in love with a human prince, Eric, and dreams of life on land.
