Dorothea “Dot” Garibaldi, is a character in the Disney Channel Original Movie “The Cheetah Girls” and its sequels. She is the mother of Dorinda Thomas (Do) one of the four main characters in the film, and is portrayed by actress Lynn Whitfield. She is a single mother and raised Do by herself, and is shown to be very supportive of her daughter’s dreams and aspirations. She is also a former member of a girl group called the “Lemon Drops” and is shown to have a love of music and singing. She is a supportive and nurturing figure for her daughter and for the other members of the Cheetah Girls. She is a hard-working woman and is also shown to be a great businesswoman.
