Who is Flora?
In the Disney animated film “Sleeping Beauty,” Flora is one of the three good fairies, along with Fauna and Merryweather, who are responsible for bestowing gifts upon the newborn Princess Aurora. She is voiced by actress Verna Felton.
Flora is known for her kind and nurturing nature and her ability to bestow the gift of beauty upon Aurora. She’s the fairy who gives the most attention to Aurora’s upbringing and acts as a motherly figure to her. She’s also the one who gives Aurora the dress she wears in the famous spinning wheel scene.
Flora’s role in the movie is secondary but she’s a supporting character that is part of the fairies’ trio who are responsible for Aurora’s wellbeing.
