Who is Squirt?

Squirt is a character in Disney-Pixar’s animated film “Finding Nemo,” released in 2003. He is a small and energetic juvenile sea turtle who becomes friends with Marlin and Dory during their oceanic journey to find Marlin’s son, Nemo.

Squirt, voiced by Pixar writer and director Brad Bird who is also the voice of Edna Mode from The Incredibles, is known for his adventurous spirit and his close-knit relationship with his father, Crush, an older and more laid-back sea turtle. Squirt and Crush are part of a group of sea turtles who travel through the ocean’s currents. Squirt is particularly agile in riding these currents, and he teaches Marlin and Dory how to do so as well.

One of Squirt’s memorable moments in the film is when he introduces himself to Marlin and Dory and shares his age, proudly exclaiming that he’s 150 years old. His youthful exuberance and enthusiasm bring a sense of joy to the journey, and he quickly becomes a fan-favorite character.
