Who is Heimdall?

Heimdall is a prominent and powerful character in Marvel Comics and a significant figure in Norse mythology. He was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby and first appeared in “Journey into Mystery” #85 in 1962.

In both the comics and Norse mythology, Heimdall is the guardian of the Bifrost Bridge, the cosmic bridge that connects Asgard, the realm of the Norse gods, to Midgard (Earth) and the other realms in the Nine Realms. He first appears in “Thor” (2011) and reprised his role in subsequent Thor films, “Thor: The Dark World” (2013) and “Thor: Ragnarok” (2017), as well as “Avengers: Age of Ultron” (2015) and “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018).

In the MCU, Heimdall is depicted as a fierce and loyal guardian of Asgard, risking his life to protect the realm and its people. He demonstrates his exceptional abilities, such as using the Bifrost Bridge to transport Thor and his allies to various locations.

One of Heimdall’s most significant moments in the MCU comes in “Avengers: Infinity War” when he uses his powers to send the Hulk to Earth, warning the heroes of Thanos’ impending arrival.
