Darth Vader Returns to the Big Screen in Rogue One!
Published on 6/27/16 by Craig Smith
It has been confirmed by Lucasfilm that Darth Vader will once again be representing the dark side of the force on the big screen in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”
Vader’s return had been rumored for quite sometime and it only makes sense given that “Rogue One” is set between episodes 3 and 4, and its story revolves around the construction of the Death Star. Not having Darth Vader in the film would leave screenwriters with a pretty sizable elephant in the room and a tough omission to explain.
Even better, it has also been confirmed that James Earl Jones will voice Vader once again, although the original ‘body’ of Darth Vader, David Prowse, will not return as he is now in his 80s.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters December 16th. Find out more about the movie here.
