The Walt Disney Company has appointed Benjamin Swinburne as Executive Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Strategy, further strengthening its senior financial leadership as it advances long-term growth plans.
Announced on January 30, 2026, the move places Swinburne at the center of Disney’s engagement with Wall Street and its strategic planning efforts. He will join the company in the near future and report directly to Hugh F. Johnston, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
In his new role, Swinburne will lead Disney’s global investor relations function, overseeing communication of the company’s financial performance, capital allocation priorities, and long-term vision to institutional and retail shareholders, as well as to the analyst community and other key stakeholders. He will also guide corporate strategy, including long-range planning and market analysis, helping Disney identify and evaluate growth opportunities across its businesses.
Swinburne comes to Disney after more than two decades at Morgan Stanley, where he most recently served as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Media – and later U.S. Media and Telecom & Cable Services – Research. Over his career he has been consistently ranked among the industry’s top equity analysts, including induction into the Institutional Investor All-America Research Team Hall of Fame in 2021.
Having spent much of his career analyzing Disney and its peers, Swinburne brings deep familiarity with the company’s business, the evolving entertainment landscape, and investor expectations as he steps into this newly expanded leadership role.
