Nickelodeon Veteran Zack Olin Joins Disney Television Animation as New Series & Development Chief

Zack Olin Disney Television AnimationDisney Television Animation has tapped veteran kids-and-family executive Zack Olin as its new senior vice president for Development and Current Series, bringing a seasoned hand to the studio’s growing slate of animated projects. The hire was announced by Meredith Roberts, executive vice president of Disney Television Animation, under whose leadership Olin will report.

In his new role, Olin will oversee the development of new animated series for kids and families for Disney Channel and Disney+, while also guiding the creative direction and ongoing production of current hits including Big City Greens and Phineas and Ferb, along with titles such as The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Chibiverse, Kiff, and ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series. He will help shape overall creative strategy and support creators across Disney Television Animation’s lineup.

Olin arrives at Disney following senior leadership roles at Nickelodeon and Awesomeness, where his portfolio spanned both television and film, with credits that include Monster High: The Movie, XO, Kitty and School Spirits. Before that, he spent more than a decade at ABC and ABC Studios working on primetime series such as grown-ish, Speechless and Happy Endings, and he began his career in animation at Fox on projects like Titan A.E., The Simpsons and American Dad.
