Who is Dave Matsui?

Dave Matsui is a character in Disney’s “High School Musical” franchise, portrayed by actor Joey Miyashima.

As the principal of East High School, Principal Matsui oversees the school’s activities and addresses conflicts among staff and students. He is notably involved in mediating disputes between drama teacher Ms. Darbus and basketball coach Jack Bolton, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the arts and athletics.

Miyashima reprises his role as Principal Matsui in “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” continuing to support the students as they prepare for graduation.
