Who is Shere Kahn?

Shere Khan is a character in Disney’s “The Jungle Book.” He is the main antagonist of the film and is depicted as a Bengal tiger who is feared and respected by all of the other animals in the jungle. Throughout the film, Shere Khan is depicted as being cruel, ruthless, and power-hungry, and he is determined to eliminate Mowgli, the film’s protagonist, in order to maintain his position as the most powerful creature in the jungle. Despite his fearsome reputation, however, Shere Khan is also depicted as being a complex and multi-dimensional character, and it is hinted that his villainous ways may stem from a traumatic experience in his past. Despite his role as the main villain, Shere Khan remains a beloved and well-regarded character among fans of “The Jungle Book,” and is remembered for his regal bearing, his powerful voice, and his unforgettable lines. He was voiced by veteran actor George Sanders.
