The Swedish Chef muppetsWho is The Swedish Chef?

The Swedish Chef is a Muppet character that appeared on the American television show The Muppet Show. He is a humanoid character, with wild, shaggy hair and a thick accent resembling that of a “Swedish” person, although his language is actually a mixture of gibberish and various scandinavian languages, which is meant to be comically unintelligible. He is portrayed as a cook and is often shown preparing food in the Muppet kitchen, but his recipes and cooking methods are often absurd and comedic. He was performed by Jim Henson, and first appeared on the show in 1975.
