Doug Live! was a live stage show that used to take place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park (formerly known as Disney-MGM Studios) at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The show was based on the popular animated TV series “Doug,” which aired on Nickelodeon and later on Disney’s One Saturday Morning programming block.

The show debuted in 1999 and was performed in the ABC Sound Studio, a theater that hosted various live shows and events over the years. Doug Live! combined live actors, puppetry, and animation to bring the beloved characters of “Doug” to life on stage.

The show followed the adventures of the title character, Doug Funnie, a likable and relatable 11-year-old boy, and his friends from Bluffington, including Skeeter, Patti Mayonnaise, and Roger Klotz. The story revolved around Doug’s attempts to write a school report about his favorite superhero, Quailman.

The show featured catchy songs, humorous situations, and the endearing charm of the original TV series. The combination of live-action performances and puppetry allowed the characters to interact with the audience, creating an engaging and entertaining experience for both children and nostalgic fans of the “Doug” TV show.

However, Doug Live! eventually closed, and the theater was repurposed for other live shows and events at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
