Last night’s 74th Golden Globe Awards ceremony featured a Disney versus Disney showdown in the Best Animated Film category. Smash 2016 Disney animated hits Zootopia and Moana both vied for the distinction along with “Kubo and the Two Strings,” “Sing” and “My Life as a Zuchini.” Zootopia took home the award, giving Disney wins in nine of the eleven years of this award’s existence.
The only non-Disney movies to win Best Animated Film were “The Adventures of Tintin” (2011) and “How to Train Your Dragon” (2014).
