It looks as though Disney is going to bridge generations of The Lion King fans (does that make you feel a little old?) by bringing a familiar face to The Lion Guard. Disney has announced that the Mustafa’s despicable little brother, Scar, is slated to appear in the second season of The Lion Guard next month.

In the special extended episode, titled “The Rise of Scar,” the villainous Scar, voiced by actor David Oyelowo (Agent Kallus from Star Wars: Rebels), will appear in the flames of a volcano after Kion unintentionally summons him up with the Roar of the Elders.

“The Rise of Scar” premiers Saturday, July 29th at 9am ET. The Lion Guard Season 2 will debut on Friday, July 7 at 8am ET with two back-to-back episodes (and countless re-runs there after, for sure).
