For fans of the beloved animated series Bluey, one question that often comes up is whether they can meet Bluey and her family at Walt Disney World. When I look at this site’s analytics, it is literally always the top search query here.
Unfortunately, while Disney+ is home to the popular Australian series and Bluey has become very much associated with Disney, Bluey herself isn’t currently found in Disney parks. Despite Disney’s involvement in distributing the show, the franchise isn’t fully owned by Disney which makes things tricky.
Bluey is a joint effort between Australian-based Ludo Studio, BBC Studios, and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). Disney holds the rights to distribute Bluey in the United States, which is why the show streams on Disney+ and has a strong following among Disney fans. However, this distribution agreement doesn’t give Disney ownership over the franchise or exclusive rights to its characters and branding. Instead, BBC Studios, along with ABC and Ludo Studio, retains creative control and manages the broader licensing and character appearances.
As a result, Bluey hasn’t been integrated into Disney’s theme parks, including Walt Disney World. Disney parks typically feature characters and attractions from franchises they fully own or have exclusive licensing rights to, ensuring they can manage brand representation closely within the immersive experience Disney strives to provide in its parks.
For now, fans of Bluey can enjoy the show on Disney+ and find Bluey merchandise at some retailers, but appearances in Disney parks remain off the table. Unless Disney acquires more control over Bluey or makes a specific agreement with BBC Studios, it’s unlikely that Bluey will become part of Walt Disney World’s character lineup. So, while Bluey fans won’t meet her at Walt Disney World, they can still tune in and enjoy her adventures from the comfort of their homes.
