Fozzie Bear is a fictional character from the Muppets franchise. He is a bear who is an orange-brown color and has a distinctive brown nose. He is a stand-up comedian and a member of the Muppet troupe, often performing alongside Kermit the Frog and the rest of the Muppet cast. He is known for telling bad jokes, and is often the target of heckling from the other characters, particularly from Statler and Waldorf. He was created by Jim Henson and first appeared in the show “The Muppet Show” (1976-1981). He was originally voiced by puppeteer Frank Oz.
