Who is Jay?

Jay is one of the central characters in Disney’s Descendants franchise, portrayed by actor Booboo Stewart.

Jay is the son of Jafar, the infamous villain from Aladdin, and he embodies many of his father’s traits, particularly his street-smart, cunning personality. Initially introduced as one of the “Villain Kids” (or “VKs”) from the Isle of the Lost, Jay, along with Mal, Evie, and Carlos, is selected by Prince Ben to attend Auradon Prep, a prestigious school in the United States of Auradon, away from their restricted lives on the Isle.

Though initially rough around the edges and skeptical about leaving behind his villainous upbringing, Jay eventually finds a sense of belonging in Auradon and discovers new aspects of himself.
