Who is Princess Atta?
Princess Atta is a central character in Disney-Pixar’s animated film A Bug’s Life (1998). She is a dutiful and somewhat anxious ant who is next in line to become the queen of the ant colony. As the older daughter of the current Queen, Princess Atta takes her responsibilities very seriously, often to the point of overthinking and doubting her abilities as a leader. Her character arc centers on her growth as she learns to embrace her leadership role, gaining confidence and trust in herself and others.
Atta is deeply committed to her colony’s well-being, especially as they face threats from Hopper and his gang of bullying grasshoppers.
