Who is Scuttle?
Scuttle is a character in the Disney animated feature film “The Little Mermaid.” He is a seagull and is depicted as being a bumbling but well-meaning creature. Throughout the film, Scuttle serves as a kind of advisor to the film’s protagonist, Ariel, and provides her with information about human culture and technology. Despite his good intentions, Scuttle’s advice is often misguided and leads to various mishaps and complications. Nevertheless, he is a beloved character and is remembered for his humorous and endearing personality. Scuttle’s quirky and comedic antics add a lighthearted touch to the film, and he remains a popular character among fans of “The Little Mermaid.”
He was voiced by actor Buddy Hackett who was also known for his roles in the Herbie the Lovebug movies.
