Tiana is the ambitious and trailblazing protagonist of Disney’s 2009 film The Princess and the Frog. As Disney’s first African American princess, she redefined the “royal” archetype by proving that dreams are achieved through hard work, seasoning, and a little bit of bayou magic.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (Now Open!)
The biggest news for 2026 is the full operation of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at both Walt Disney World (Magic Kingdom) and Disneyland Park. This musical log flume picks up where the movie left off, following Tiana as she prepares for a massive Mardi Gras celebration with Louis and a band of new musical critters.
Note for February 2026 travelers: Due to record-low temperatures in Florida this week, the attraction may operate on a delayed schedule (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM) for guest comfort.
New for March 2026: “Tiana’s Joyful Celebration”
Starting March 7, 2026, Disney is bringing the magic of the bayou to the people with a brand-new traveling museum exhibition. Launching at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Tiana’s Joyful Celebration is a multi-sensory experience where guests can help Tiana prepare for a parade, explore New Orleans jazz, and learn the secrets of her famous gumbo. The tour will visit 12 cities across the U.S. through 2027.
Where to Find Tiana in 2026
- Disneyland Park: Explore the newly renamed Bayou Country land. You can meet Tiana near her restaurant, Tiana’s Palace, or find her in her new “adventurer” outfit near the ride entrance.
- Magic Kingdom: Tiana meets daily at Princess Fairytale Hall. You can also spot her on the lead float of the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
- Disney Cruise Line: Tiana’s Place remains a headlining dining experience on the Disney Wonder, featuring live jazz and her signature beignets.

- The Voice: Tiana is voiced by the legendary Anika Noni Rose, who worked closely with Imagineers to ensure her character’s transition to the theme parks was authentic.
- Disney Magic Kingdoms: In February 2026, the popular mobile game launched the “Princess and the Frog Part 2” update, featuring Ray the Firefly as a new playable character.
