Poe Dameron is a character in the Star Wars franchise. He is a skilled pilot and a commander in the Resistance, a military organization that opposes the First Order, a group that rose from the ashes of the defeated Galactic Empire. Poe Dameron first appears in the 2015 film “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and is portrayed by actor Oscar Isaac. He is a key ally to the film’s protagonists, Rey and Finn, and plays a major role in the Resistance’s fight against the First Order.
