Who is Br’er Bear?
Br’er Bear is a fictional character from the Uncle Remus stories by Joel Chandler Harris, and is also a character in the Disney film Song of the South.
Br’er Bear is a slow-witted but strong and determined bear who is often outwitted by the clever Br’er Rabbit. He is often depicted as the antagonist in the stories and is known for his catchphrase “I’s gwine to git you, Br’er Rabbit!” He was played by veteran actor Nick Stewart.
