Who is Sebastian?
Sebastian is a fictional character from the Disney animated film The Little Mermaid (1989) and its franchise. He is a Jamaican crab and the court composer and conductor of King Triton’s underwater kingdom. He is known for his energetic and lively personality, as well as his love of music and singing. He is also known for his leadership, loyalty and his dedication to King Triton and his kingdom. He is one of Ariel’s closest friends and advisers and helps her to become human and win the love of Prince Eric. He is also known for his iconic song “Under the Sea” which he sings in the movie, and his catchphrase “Life is the bubbles, under the sea.”

- He has had one voice throughout the years: Samuel E Wright.
- Unlike many of the other characters from The Little Mermaid, he is not based on a Hans Christian Andersen character.
- To date, he has appeared in three movies: The Little Mermaid, The Little Mermaid II: Return to Sea and The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning.
