Notably, it secured the top spot at the U.S. box office during the first weekend of 2025, earning $23.8 million.

“Moana 2,” the sequel to the 2016 hit, continues the adventures of the titular Polynesian wayfinder. The film has garnered $960.5 million globally, edging closer to the coveted $1 billion mark. Its impressive performance is highlighted by a record-breaking five-day domestic debut of $221 million over the Thanksgiving weekend, setting new benchmarks for animated releases.
