“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is a six-part miniseries that premiered on Disney+ on May 27, 2022. Set a decade after the events of “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith,” the series follows Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, portrayed by Ewan McGregor, as he navigates life in exile on Tatooine. Tasked with watching over young Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan is drawn into a perilous mission when Princess Leia Organa is kidnapped, compelling him to confront his past and his former apprentice, now the Sith Lord Darth Vader, played by Hayden Christensen.

Directed by Deborah Chow, the series delves into Obi-Wan’s internal struggles and the remnants of the Jedi Order under Imperial rule. It introduces new characters, such as Reva Sevander, the Third Sister, an ambitious Inquisitor determined to capture Obi-Wan. The narrative bridges the gap between the prequel and original trilogies, offering insights into Obi-Wan’s transformation from a war-weary Jedi to the wise hermit, Ben Kenobi.

The series received generally positive reviews, with praise for McGregor’s performance and the character-driven storyline. It garnered multiple accolades, including winning Best Limited Event Series for Streaming at the 47th Saturn Awards.
