Village Haus Restaurant | Disneyland

Last Updated on: March 26th, 2024

The Village Haus Restaurant was a quick-service restaurant located in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. The restaurant was designed to resemble a traditional German village, with a half-timbered façade, a sloping roof, and outdoor seating overlooking the popular “it’s a small world” attraction.

The menu at the Village Haus Restaurant featured a variety of American and German-style fast food, including hamburgers, pizza, salads, and bratwurst. The restaurant also offered a children’s menu and a selection of desserts, including apple strudel and chocolate cake.

One of the unique features of the Village Haus Restaurant was its “Pinocchio” theming. The walls inside the restaurant were decorated with murals depicting scenes from the classic Disney animated film, including the famous “pleasure island” sequence.

In 2017, the Village Haus Restaurant was rethemed as the “Red Rose Taverne” to coincide with the release of Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast” film. The new menu featured French-inspired dishes, including a “grey stuff” dessert inspired by the iconic song from the movie.

Overall, the Village Haus Restaurant was a popular dining destination for guests of all ages and offered a unique theming that added to the immersive experience of Fantasyland.
