This weekend, Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” earned $33 million at the box office, which gave it enough earnings total to eclipse the $1 billion mark.
The comic book-based blockbuster now ranks number two for all movies in 2016 and number five all time in earnings for a comic book movie. With the long Memorial Day Weekend approaching, it will be interesting to see how high up that list “Civil War” is able to climb.
