Who is Mary Poppins?

Mary Poppins is an iconic character from the 1964 Disney film Mary Poppins, based on the book series by P.L. Travers. She is a magical and enigmatic English nanny who arrives at the Banks family home on Cherry Tree Lane in Edwardian London to care for the children, Jane and Michael.
