Developed by Disney Interactive Studios and published by Buena Vista Games, the game was released in 2006.

Players control Ariel as she kingdom of Atlantica and the human world above, interacting with characters from the movie and completing various tasks and missions.

The game also features mini-games, musical numbers, and the ability to collect and trade items with friends.
