Captain America: Civil War Has Strong First Weekend
Published on 5/9/16 by Craig Smith
Disney continued their 2016 winning streak with another very strong debut this weekend. Captain America: Civil War, the third installment in Marvel’s Captain America series concluded its opening weekend $181.8 million domestic take at the box office.
Civil War’s strong box office places it in the top five movies all time for opening weekend success. Coincidentally, four of those five are Disney movies (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron and now Captain America: Civil War).
