Vacation Fun Temporarily Closing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for Refurbishment

Beginning October 20, 2025, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will pause a beloved gem-Vacation Fun: An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie-for refurbishment.

The attraction’s final day of operation is slated as October 19, after which it will enter a brief hiatus.

Nestled within the Mickey Shorts Theater near Echo Lake, Vacation Fun offers guests a lighthearted romp through Mickey and Minnie’s favorite holiday memories. It weaves together never-before-seen animation with classic short film clips-creating a delightful, nostalgia-rich experience.

Though Disney hasn’t publicly detailed what technical or creative enhancements are planned, the closure is listed as “temporary,” with a reopening later in 2025.

For now, visitors planning a trip to Hollywood Studios during the closure window will want to adjust their itineraries. While the show won’t be available, the park’s many other attractions-like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and the upcoming changes in Grand Avenue-will continue to provide entertainment.
