Animation Courtyard Is ClosingDisney officially announced Animation Courtyard at Hollywood Studios will permanently close on September 25th, 2025, making way for a new area—The Walt Disney Studios!

The closure means saying goodbye to Star Wars Launch Bay and Disney Junior Play & Dance, but Walt Disney Presents and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure will remain open.

Opening in 2026, The Walt Disney Studios will celebrate Disney animation history, featuring interactive experiences, exhibits, and a brand-new version of The Magic of Disney Animation.

Big news for fans: The beloved Sorcerer Mickey Hat is officially returning to Hollywood Studios, replacing the current Launch Bay marquee!

Expect immersive play areas like “Drawn to Wonderland,” lush landscaping, and plenty of spaces for guests to explore Disney’s animation legacy.
