Who is Long John Silver?
Long John Silver is a fictional character from the classic novel “Treasure Island” by Robert Louis Stevenson, and is featured in the 1950 Disney film adaptation of the same name.
In the story, Long John Silver is a one-legged pirate and the ship’s cook aboard the Hispaniola, which is on a mission to find buried treasure on a remote island.
