Marvel’s streaming slate just got major updates, and Disney+ fans have plenty to anticipate. From new release windows for beloved animated series to fresh trailers and delays, here’s what’s new in the world of Marvel and Disney streaming.

Disney Streaming Updates

X-Men ’97 Season 2 Lands Summer 2026 Window

At New York Comic Con, Marvel officially announced that X-Men ’97 Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ in Summer 2026, continuing the revival of the 1990s animated team.

Alongside that, the show has been greenlit for Season 3, signaling strong faith in the franchise’s longevity.

Original X-Men: The Animated Series veterans Eric and Julia Lewald and director Larry Houston will join as executive producers, helping to ground the new seasons in legacy.

Fans can expect darker stakes this time: Apocalypse plays a central role, Mortality is on the line, and multiple timelines-from ancient Egypt to dystopian futures-will be explored.

Ross Marquand (voice of Professor X) recently teased that “a lot of people die” this season – a level of darkness that reportedly surprised Disney’s executives.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 Arrives Fall 2026

Marvel confirmed that Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is slated for a Fall 2026 release on Disney+.

During the NYCC announcements, a teaser of “black, oozy substance” was shown -strongly hinting at a symbiote / Venom presence in the next season.

Though full plot spoilers are absent, returning cast and creative leads are expected, and production work (scripts, animatics) has already advanced.

Marvel has expressed interest in maintaining a more regular yearly cadence for both Spider-Man and X-Men ’97.

VisionQuest Confirmed for 2026: White Vision Takes Center Stage

Marvel officially confirmed VisionQuest will arrive on Disney+ in 2026, closing out the trilogy that started with WandaVision and Agatha All Along.

The series will focus on White Vision, a version of Vision created to destroy Wanda’s Hex Vision, as he grapples with identity, memory, and autonomy.

James Spader returns as Ultron, now positioned as a father figure to Vision, and classic MCU AIs (J.A.R.V.I.S., E.D.I.T.H., etc.) are expected to appear.

Paul Bettany has teased the show will tackle heavy emotional terrain such as intergenerational trauma, fathers and sons, denial of pain, and identity concealed behind programming.

Production reportedly wrapped filming in July 2025 in London, and the series is expected to run eight episodes.

Wonder Man Delayed to January 2026 (from December 2025)

Marvel announced that Wonder Man, originally scheduled for December 2025, has been delayed into January 2026 to avoid holiday competition.

The live-action series centers on Simon Williams, an actor auditioning to play the superhero he idolized, and promised a meta Hollywood-style exploration of identity, legacy, and performance.

Wandance Trailer Released – Anime Enters the Disney Slate

Disney released a trailer for Wandance, an upcoming anime adaptation of the popular manga by Coffee.

The story centers on Kaboku Kotani, a high school freshman who struggles with stuttering, and Hikari Wanda, a free dancer whose fearless movement inspires him to join the school dance club.

The visuals blend expressive animation with hip-hop dance, and the trailer highlights emotional resonance, personal growth, and the power of movement to heal.

All’s Fair Trailer Teases Legal Drama with Star Power

Hulu dropped a trailer for All’s Fair, a new legal drama from Ryan Murphy starring Kim Kardashian and Sarah Paulson.

The teaser frames a fierce rivalry: Kardashian’s divorce lawyer goes head-to-head against Paulson’s former firm in a male-dominated legal landscape.

With supporting roles from Naomi Watts, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash, and more, the series is poised for high-profile impact.

It premieres November 4, 2025, on Hulu.

40 Acres Coming to Hulu & Hulu on Disney+

Disney’s 40 Acres is a new post-apocalyptic thriller heading to Hulu and Hulu via Disney+. (Again, official link wasn’t in the recent Marvel set – double-check with your sources.)

The premise: The Freeman family survives in isolation on their remote farm after societal collapse, but when their son encounters someone from beyond the fences, everything changes.

The cast includes Danielle Deadwyler, Kataem O’Connor, Michael Greyeyes, and others.

One-Punch Man Season 3 Trailer & Streaming Plans

Fans got a fresh trailer this week for One-Punch Man Season 3, confirming its imminent return.

The series is set to premiere October 12, 2025, streaming on Hulu in the U.S. (and via Hulu on Disney+ where available).

The new arc features the return of the Monster Association, presenting fresh challenges for Saitama and the Hero Association.

Final Thoughts

This week’s announcements underscore Marvel and Disney’s broad approach: balancing nostalgia (with X-Men ’97), bold experiments (VisionQuest, Wandance), and strategic scheduling tweaks (Wonder Man). For fans of animated superhero stories, Marvel’s 2026 streaming lineup is shaping up to be explosive.

Stay tuned – I’ll keep tracking official release dates, new trailers, and surprises.
