The colorful cupcake-lined windows at Disney Springs have officially gone dark. Sprinkles Cupcakes, long known for its gourmet cupcakes and iconic Cupcake ATM, has permanently closed its Disney Springs location as part of a broader decision to shut down all remaining Sprinkles stores nationwide.

The Disney Springs shop, located in the Town Center area, had been a popular stop for guests looking to grab a sweet treat outside of the theme parks. Since opening, it became especially well known for its 24-hour Cupcake ATM, which dispensed fresh cupcakes in signature pink boxes and quickly became a social media favorite among Walt Disney World visitors.

The closure is not an isolated incident. Sprinkles has confirmed that it is ceasing operations across the United States, marking the end of a brand that helped pioneer the modern cupcake craze when it first launched in Beverly Hills in 2005. At its peak, Sprinkles operated dozens of locations nationwide and expanded its menu beyond cupcakes to include cookies, brownies, and ice cream.

At Disney Springs, the closure continues an ongoing evolution of the shopping and dining district, which frequently refreshes its lineup to introduce new concepts and experiences. While no replacement tenant has been announced for the former Sprinkles space, Disney Springs has a strong track record of quickly reimagining vacated storefronts.
