Disney Among Fortune’s Most Admired Companies for 2018

The Walt Disney Company has once again placed high on Fortune’s list of “World’s Most Admired Companies,” ranking No. 1 in the entertainment industry and No. 6 overall for 2018. This marks Disney’s sixth consecutive year in the top 10.

Fortune partnered with global management consulting firm Korn Ferry to compile the annual rankings out of the 1,000 largest U.S. companies ranked by revenue, along with non-U.S. companies in Fortune’s Global 500 database that have revenues of $10 billion or more. The top 50 companies were determined by a survey of 3,900 executives, directors and securities analysts in a variety of industries, who were asked to select the 10 companies they admired most.

The annual study looks at nine key attributes of corporate reputation, including long-term investment value, quality of products/services, global competitiveness and social responsibility. Disney is an industry leader on Fortune’s list in these areas, as well as people management, use of corporate assets and financial soundness.
