Disney CEO Bob Iger took to Twitter last night to express his displeasure with President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw the US from the Paris Climate Agreement. In protest, he has resigned from the President’s business advisory council, a somewhat symbolic group that has seen a few other high-profile departures recently including Uber’s Travis Kalanick and Tesla’s Elon Musk.

This move isn’t completely shocking given the global backlash that the Paris withdrawal has drawn. Disney has significant interests across the world, including heavy investments in France and China- two countries among the most critical of the move. No doubt Iger had these interests, as well as his own concerns about the global and economic impact of the decision in mind as he made his decision to leave the council.
