Disney to Live Stream Rivers of Light Show Next Week

rivers of light live streamDisney announced today that they will be live streaming the amazing new(ish) Rivers of Light show next Tuesday. The show will be part of the Disney Parks “#DisneyParksLIVE” series of webcasts, which tend to be very well produced shows. Like so many other Disney World shows, it will be very difficult to invoke the feeling of witnessing Rivers of Light first-hand, but I have no doubt they will do an excellent job capturing the essence of the experience.

Here is a quick refresher of what you can expect from this amazing light, sound and water show which takes place nightly at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom:

Get swept away in a timeless show that celebrates the beauty of all living things. With a brilliant fusion of water, sound and light, it’s quite unlike anything you’ve experienced before!

As sunlight fades and the stars begin their twinkle, remember that we are all bound together by earth and spirit—past, present and future.

Listen as the Discovery River responds to the whispers of the world, cradling creatures with a symphony that swells with wild murmurs and shimmering secrets of the universe.

So begins a new light—a vibrant awakening of flitting fireflies leading to a ceremonious procession across the water.

Before your eyes, clusters of lantern light shift and shape into stunning animal spirit forms—the Tiger, Turtle, Elephant and Owl. Spellbound, you’re transported across Asian jungles and tropical oceans to African savannahs and North American mountains.

This magnetic display culminates in a triumphant blend of song, light, color and earthly elements—a grand finale so divine that you can’t help but feel a sense of peace and oneness with nature. (source)

The #DisneyParksLIVE Rivers of Light live stream will air at 8:40pm ET on Tuesday, August 22nd and can be found here.

I am founder and editor of DisneyNews.us and DisneyEverything.com My passion for all things Disney goes pretty far back but was deepened by two semi-recent developments:1) The birth of my son (who is now 6 years old and can't get enough Disney); and 2) Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm/Star Wars (did I mention I was a super Star Wars geek?)I recently came to the realization that I spent a significant portion of my day reading articles about Disney and watching it with my son, so it only made sense that I would start sharing some of what I read and see and building a little community around it.
