Toy Story Land will be located at the back of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In this new area, visitors will enter a scaled replica of Andy’s backyard from the movie. It will feature two new rides:

Slinky Dog Dash:

A family roller coaster attraction that is modeled after the stretched out coils of Slinky Dog. Have a look at the concept video:

Alien Swirling Saucers:

A swirling, rotating saucer ride that is modeled after the toy playset Andy brought home from Pizza Planet in Toy Story. The ride features the infamous “claw” featured in the movie as well. Here is a little conceptual art from the Alien Swirling Saucers section of Toy Story Land:

There will also be Woody, Buzz Lightyear and other characters throughout the area, and likely specific meet n greet areas as well.

In addition to the new information about Toy Story Land, it was also announced that a third track will open on the Toy Story Mania ride on Memorial Day weekend. If you’ve been to Hollywood Studios lately, you know that this is one of the most popular rides in the park and often has hour+ wait times. Hopefully the third track will alleviate some of the wait.

More to come on Toy Story Land as its open date (currently TBD) nears…
