The song is performed by the character Sally, voiced by Catherine O’Hara, as she expresses her feelings for the main character, Jack Skellington, voiced by Chris Sarandon. In the song, Sally laments her unrequited love for Jack and expresses her desire to be with him. The song was composed by Danny Elfman, who also provided the singing voice for Jack Skellington.
