Star Wars Rebels Season 2 DVD: Everything You Need to Know

Update 9/1/16: Star Wars Rebels Season Two is now officially available on DVD and Blu-Ray. It features all 22 episodes from season 2 along with a number of bonus features.

Here is what you can expect in Season Two:

The epic battle to defeat the evil Empire continues in STAR WARS REBELS: COMPLETE SEASON TWO! As Ezra continues his journey to become a Jedi under Kanan’s guidance, the crew of the Ghost bands together with a secret rebel cell and ex soldiers from the Clone Wars to join a fledgling alliance to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy. But the dark side looms large as Darth Vader dispatches new Inquisitors, setting the stage for a climactic showdown in which terrible truths will be revealed and the lives of our heroes will be changed forever.

Original Post 6/18/16: Disney has announced the upcoming release date for the Blu-ray and DVD of Star Wars Rebels: The Complete Season 2. Both will be released on August 30th, but can be pre-ordered now through Amazon (affiliate link).

For newcomers, Star Wars Rebels is an animated series on Disney XD, which is an official Star Wars story and is set to take place between Episodes 3 & 4. Rebels has ushered in a whole new cast of characters and settings, but also features a number of familiar faces from other installments of the Star Wars franchise. Season 2 of Rebels saw the rise of Darth Vader within the upper ranks of the Empire, and also featured the return of a number of key characters, story lines, vehicles, and more from Episodes 1-4 and The Clone Wars.
