Overview

“Star Wars Battlefront II” is a third-person and first-person shooter game developed by DICE, Motive Studios, and Criterion Games, and published by Electronic Arts (EA). It was released on November 17, 2017, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

As the fourth major entry in the “Star Wars Battlefront” series, “Battlefront II” takes place in the vast and iconic “Star Wars” universe, spanning all three cinematic eras (Original Trilogy, Prequel Trilogy, and Sequel Trilogy). The game features both a single-player campaign and a robust multiplayer mode.

Single-Player Campaign: Set shortly after the events of “Return of the Jedi,” the campaign follows the story of Iden Versio, the leader of an elite Imperial special forces unit known as Inferno Squad. Players experience the story from the perspective of the Empire, showcasing events that bridge the gap between the Original Trilogy and the Sequel Trilogy.

Multiplayer Mode: “Star Wars Battlefront II” offers a multiplayer mode with large-scale battles across various iconic locations from the “Star Wars” universe. Players can choose to fight as the Galactic Empire or the Rebel Alliance in the Original Trilogy era, the Separatists or the Republic in the Prequel Trilogy era, or the First Order or the Resistance in the Sequel Trilogy era.

The multiplayer mode features various game types:

• Galactic Assault: Large-scale mode with objectives.
• Capital Supremacy: Ground battles with the added element of capturing and defending capital ships.
• Heroes vs. Villains: A 4v4 mode where players can play as iconic “Star Wars” characters.
• Starfighter Assault: Intense space dogfights.

Players can choose from a wide array of infantry classes, vehicles, and heroes or villains from the “Star Wars” saga, each with unique abilities and playstyles. The game also introduces a progression system, allowing players to unlock and customize their characters and equipment as they play and earn experience points.
